Scrum has become the de-facto standard for agile teams with millions of people practicing it every day. DevOps has emerged as the term used to describe improved flow and automation in pursuit of improved delivery cycles and reduced waste. Both communities focus on delivering value and removing waste but approach the problem in some subtlety different ways. DevOps concentrates on the role of automation, improved insights and systems thinking. Scrum concentrates on empiricism, team self-organization and continued improvement. When these two worlds come together there are some interesting tensions between roles, ownership and automation.

In this talk Dave West, CEO and Product Owner from Scrum.org talks about how DevOps and Scrum can effectively work together and what choices delivery organizations need to make to marry the ideas of both communities.
